Monstrous bomarzo

The Garden of Monsters at Bomarzo was conceived in 1525 by the architect Pirro Ligorio, at the request of Prince Pier Francesco Orsini detto Vicino. Aside from its formal Italian gardens, the park is especially known for the Sacro Bosco, filled with statues and sculptures of monsters and a labyrinth. The park is open year-round with the following hours:

8.30am – 7pm (from 01/04 to 31/10)

8.30am to sunset (from 01/11 to 31/03)
